Roberta Tavares tem 74 anos e é natural de Recife, Pernambuco, Brasil. Em dezembro de 2024, ela encerrou as atividades de seu estúdio de fotografia e reinventou sua trajetória profissional, passando a produzir impressões fotográficas para a decoração de residências, escritórios, consultórios médicos, clínicas e restaurantes. Há três anos, começou a inscrever seus trabalhos em exposições nacionais, participando de mostras em Recife e em cidades como Paraty (RJ), Campos do Jordão e Amparo (ambas em São Paulo), além de Porto Alegre (RS) e Tiradentes (MG). Ela mantém uma exposição permanente na Casa do Sítio, com 24 impressões retratando a Zona Norte de Recife, e outra na cafeteria Café Tão, com 12 impressões de temas variados. Além disso, três de suas obras integram acervos particulares em Campinas (SP) e Recife. Em junho de 2026, foi selecionada pelo Femgrafia - um coletivo de mulheres fotógrafas da América Latina e da Espanha - para a exposição coletiva online *Foto de Verano*, com a fotografia *Sombra de Verão*.
Roberta Tavares is 74 years old and from Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. In December 2024, she closed her photography studio and reinvented her professional path, creating photographic prints for home, office, medical practice, clinic and restaurant decor. Three years ago, she began submitting her work to national exhibitions, participating in some in Recife and others in cities such as Paraty (RJ), Campos do Jordão and Amparo (both in São Paulo), as well as in Porto Alegre (RS) and Tiradentes (MG). She has a permanent exhibition at Casa do Sítio, with 24 prints of the north zone of Recife, and also at the Café Tão coffee shop, with 12 prints on varied themes. In addition, three of her works are in private residences in Campinas (SP) and Recife. In June 2026, she was selected by Femgrafia – a collective of Women Photographers in Latin America and Spain – for the online group exhibition Foto de Verano, with her photograph Sombra de Verão.
